New York -- Pointing out that statistics show "Old Age and its diseases, not terrorism, is the biggest threat, "a national grassroots petition drive demands the U.S. declare a "War against Disease, Old Age & Death" with a $48 billion increase in anti-aging anti-disease research funding this year. "Over two million Americans died from the top killer-diseases last year while 3,000 died in the 9/11 attacks," Elixxir, the Immortalist persona, philosopher and anti-aging guru, points out. "If we have a war against terrorism‚ because of 3,000 killed, we must also have a War Against Disease, Old Age & Death since they wipe out over 2 million Americans every year! It‚s our patriotic duty." The $48 billion increase in anti-aging anti-disease research funding matches dollar for dollar the Pentagon budget hike demanded by Bush.
